TAGSYS Receives 2007 North American Frost & Sullivan Award For Product Line Strategy Leadership

e-connectware and the Six Sigma Performance Program Distinguish TAGSYS from Competitors

Cambridge, Mass. — June 5, 2007 – TAGSYS, the global leader in item-level RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) infrastructure, today announced it has earned the 2007 North American Frost & Sullivan Award for Product Line Strategy Leadership. Each year the award is presented to a company that has demonstrated the most insight into customer needs and product demands. Frost & Sullivan selected TAGSYS based on its e-connectware™ middleware platform and the Six Sigma Performance Program.

”TAGSYS has shown that they understand that end users of RFID want: simplicity, reliability, and visibility into their processes, not a technology.” said Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst Brendon Ouimette. “These new initiatives leverage TAGSYS’ operational experience with RFID, and their ability to offer a single integrated solution to their customers.”

e-connectware is a comprehensive set of software management and administrative tools that enables Quality of Service (QoS) for global RFID networks—including centralized deployment, management and administration of RFID readers and application systems, pro-active monitoring of those systems, on-the-fly performance tuning and fail-over. The Six Sigma Performance Program is a QoS guarantee of fewer than four failures in one million read opportunities in the item-level track-and-trace process, and is the only guarantee of its kind in the industry.

According to Frost & Sullivan, the addition of e-connectware and the Six Sigma Performance Program to the marketplace will have the effect of lowering barriers to adoption, especially in the pharmaceutical market, and reducing the cost of adoption for TAGSYS’ customers. Both products mark the creation of an innovative new business model based on expectations of value in the RFID market. The solutions were developed based on a firm understanding of the challenges in the market and the analysis of real-world data gathered from pilots.

To select the award recipient, the Frost & Sullivan analyst team tracks all end-user requirements and market dynamics within the industry. This process includes interviews with suppliers, end-users and industry experts. The product lines are compared with customer base demands, and the top-ranking supplier receives the award.

“This award serves as tremendous validation for our efforts in the past year,” said Elie Simon, president and CEO of TAGSYS. “e-connectware and the Six Sigma Performance Program demonstrate TAGSYS’ vision that RFID infrastructure can function as an always-on network, like data or voice, that customers can easily manage and rely upon for consistent service.”
