Sequans Helps Power XOHM™
 
Sequans’ high performance chips inside one of the first Mobile WiMAX consumer devices to launch commercially on Sprint’s XOHM network in the US

CUPERTINO, Calif. October 8, 2008 – Sequans, the world’s leading WiMAX chipmaker, is powering one of the devices that launched with Sprint’s XOHM Mobile WiMAX™ service in Baltimore. Sequans chips are inside the MAX-206m2 desktop modem/router manufactured by ZyXEL™ that gives Xohm™ customers wireless internet access with built-in residential gateway functions. The MAX-206m2 uses Sequans’ award-winning SQN1130 chip.

Sequans is powering more than half of the Mobile WiMAX MIMO-enabled devices that are now certified by the WiMAX Forum. Manufacturers who build devices based on Sequans chips are able to forego some of the testing that has already been completed, saving not only time to certification and market, but development costs.
